The inspiration behind

Values we envision to bring about

The starting point for BIVAC Tanzania Ltd arrived in 2012, born from the personal experience of our visionary founder, Beatrice Alban Msafiri. She watched her own children battle the silent adversary of malnutrition, a challenge that, once overcome with proper nutrition, transformed their health and energy. This profound personal triumph ignited a powerful question: If a mother's love could find a solution for her children, why couldn't that solution be scaled for all of Tanzania? Fueled by this conviction, Beatrice began experimenting in her Arusha kitchen, creating nourishing flours. What started as a way to help her immediate circle quickly became a beacon of hope for many more, leading to the official establishment of BIVAC (T) Ltd in 2013. Our commitment deepened in 2018, when Beatrice immersed herself in specialized training from TARI Selian, mastering the processing of high-iron and high-zinc beans. Collaborating with esteemed partners like Bioversity International and CIAT, we began sourcing and utilizing the extraordinary potential of biofortified crops, like the resilient JESCA beans and vitamin A-rich maize.
